Free Shipping Promotion
Shipping will be free on orders of $350.00 or more to major metropolitain cities such as Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Regina, Winnipeg, Toronto, Montreal, Quebec City, Ottawa, St John, Halifax. Remote areas do not qualify. Certain conditions apply such as overweight or oversized items such as wheeled hockey bags, player or goalie hockey sticks, bulky or large items such as goalie pads or any package exceeding 15x15x15 or 25 lbs in dimensional volume will not qualify. Custom design goalie masks will not qualify. Express shipping does not qualify. Other conditions not noted in this paragraph may also apply but will be communicated to you if we deem that free shipping does not qualify. The website will always quote free shipping on orders of $350.00 for remote areas or towns that are not applicable for free shipping however, note that the shipping fee will be manually added.
Shipping within Canada and USA
Shipping and handling fees are automatically calculated for you on the total of your invoice. These fees may or may not be the actual amount and may change according to
1. Shipping service type (Standard or Express)
2. Weight/Dimensional Volume
3. Destination
4. Shipping Insurance (add $3.00 per $100.00 of invoice total on domestic or 3.50 on international)
5. Applicable Fuel surcharge that could attain upto 35% of the base price.
Once the customer has been sent the invoice with the tracking number, this means that the package was shipped and Hockey Galore no longer has control of that parcel. It therefore becomes the customers responsibility to track the package or claim a lost/dammaged parcel directly with the courier company.
Hockey Galore reserves the right to adjust shipping fees indicated on your original order confirmation. This amount will be communicated via email or by phone call ONLY if it is substantial. (more than $40.00). The shipping amounts will be manually adjusted to reflect the "real" cost of shipping. Courrier and Postal companies will calculate the "real" dimensional weight of a package by multiplying the L x W x H of the box and dividing by 166. Example actual weight = 6 Lbs and box dimensions are 25" x 24" x 22" = 13200 / 166 = 80 Lbs. So the "real" weight of a 6 Lbs box will be charged at 80 Lbs. This will always happen with larger items such as most Goalie Equipment, Wheel Bags, Hockey Sticks and many other items that may not be listed in this paragraph.
Change of addresses by the customer after the parcel has left will incur "Change of Address" fees. These fees will range from $8.50cad to $10.50cad. Please make sure to indicate where you will be available to "SIGN" for your parcel. Our preferred courier service is UPS. Their delivery hours are from 8:00am to 5:00pm.
Canada Post will be used to ship to P.O boxes (when a civic address is not possible) within Canada and the US when it is requested. We will also use Canada Post to Northern Canadian cities located in Nunavut, Yukon, NWT, NFLD, and remote Northern communities in all other provinces to avoid high courrier charges.

Due to the price of oil, courier company's have begun charging fuel surcharges of up to 35%. This surcharge is above and beyond the base rate you see in the tables.
These amounts will vary for most provinces. These are approximations ONLY. Standard service is not available for NWT, Yukon and Nunavut and some areas of NFLD.
Heavier or larger items such as wheel bags, goalie equipment and hockey sticks will most often be more expensive to ship due to dimensional volume, size and weight.
Shipping to International Destinations
Hockey Galore.Ca is not responsible for custom duties, brokerage fees and taxes applied by your government or the courier company. Please check with your country's customs for regulations prior to ordering.
The automated email you receive upon order confirmation may indicate a $0.00 amount for shipping for certain countries. This does not mean that shipping is free.
The shipping amount is calculated manually and you will receive an electronic invoice from Hockey Galore.Ca indicating the shipping amount. For certain other countries a shipping estimate may be quoted to you by our website however actual shipping cost will be much higher due to dimensional volume and destination.
Please verify with us prior to your order for shipping prices.
The cost of shipping insurance is $2.50 per $100.00 of your invoice total.
Delivery times & Customs
All orders are delivered from Montreal. Some items coming from manufacturers or distributors outside of Quebec may take longer to deliver.
A physical address is required for shipping. P.O Boxes will not be accepted.
Standard Service
Quebec : from 1 to 2 business days
Canada : from 1 to 7 business days (depending on province)
United States : from 4 to 10 business days
Express Service
Canada and USA: UPS Super Saver ( 1 to 3 days)

IMPORTANT NOTE: Hockey Galore cannot control or guarantee an express service if the item is delayed at customs. Refusing an item because it was delayed does not warrant an automatic refund. Delivery charges and restocking fees will still apply if you decline the item.
In Canada, business days do not include Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. In the US, they do not include Sundays and holidays.
Shipping Limitations
When an order is placed, it will be shipped to the address designated by you as long as that shipping address is compliant with the shipping restrictions contained at the courier company. Risk of loss and title for items purchased from Hockey Galore.Ca pass to you upon delivery of the items to the carrier. You are responsible for filling any claims with carriers for damaged and/or lost shipments.
